Our fourth annual Masters Swim Program will begin Monday August 8th . This is a program for anyone over the age of 18 who would like to get a swim practice in before they start their day. All swimmers should be able to swim freestyle/front crawl with their face in the water, and must have the stamina to make it through a full hour of practice.
I will be running the program for the third year in a row. Over the past several years, I have had the pleasure of coaching swimmers of many different ages and abilities.Once again I hope to provide a challenging, yet rewarding program to anyone who participates.
The workouts will be mostly focused on improving endurance, strength, speed and technique. They will be tailored based on individual ability. For example, more advanced swimmers may do a practice that is well over 3,000 meters long, while less experienced swimmers will be asked to complete a practice that is half that distance. The ultimate goal is that everyone gets the most out of their workout as possible, regardless of individual speed. Swimmers will also have the opportunity to work on strokes other than freestyle/front crawl if desired.
If you would like to join the program, it is very simple. All you have to do is show up to practice. Our practices will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:30-7:30 AM and Sundays from 7:00-8:00 AM. The fee for new participants is a flat rate of $80, and non-members $100. If you are not sure whether you want to join or not, please feel free to try out one or two practices without paying anything to make sure that we are the right program for you. If you decide that you would like to be a part of our program, please make a check out to Steven LeDuc with the appropriate amount as asked above.
