Any member wishing to redeem his membership should mail the Membership Redemption Form with your original membership certificate to:PO Box 190, Vienna, VA 22183.
If the membership certificate has been lost, it will be necessary to have the primary member’s signature notarized on this form. Please allow 90 days for the processing of your request. The membership redemption form must be signed by the Primary member and the Spouse that is listed on the account.
In the event of a member’s transfer after annual dues have been paid, dues will be refunded as follows:

- Before March 1 – $480.00
- Before May 1 – $360.00
- Before June 1 – $300.00
- Before August 1 – $280.00
Sale of a Member’s House and Membership Transfer to New Owner
In order to transfer our membership with the sale of your home, you must be an ACTIVE dues paying member. Local Inactive or Away Inactive families are not eligible to transfer their membership.
The buyer of the member’s house has the right to purchase the redeemed membership from the Club in accordance with Club by-laws. No membership will be transferred until final settlement has been made on the member’s house. The transaction must be completed and all fees paid within 30 days of final settlement.
The purchasers of the house must pay all membership fees directly to Cardinal Hill and not to the current owners or through the settlement company.
In order to facilitate the exchange of membership, the seller is urged to first reach out to email@example.com when they are first listing the house. We will then send all necessary documents needed to complete the transaction. The seller is then responsible to explain the redemption procedure to the buyer (or agent). It is the responsibility of the seller to keep the business manager informed of the desired and intentions of the buyer. The buyer must return the membership application with a $25.00 non-refundable deposit to the Club, to insure consideration as a prospective member. Please allow 90 days for the processing of your request. ALL PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE TO THE CLUB AND NOT DIRECTLY TO THE SELLER.
Sale of Membership to Waiting List Applicant
In the event the certificate is returned to the Club for sale, the membership will be offered to the first applicant before the payment can be made to the member wishing to redeem. Please allow at least 90 days for the processing of your request.
