Cardinal Hill Junior Tennis Team registration is now live!!
Cardinal Hill Junior Tennis Team is a great opportunity for our junior members to play the sport of tennis!
Team members are encouraged to attend practice sessions, engage in ladder play, be available for team matches and have fun. The juniors will play competitively in the Tysons Cup League. If your child has never played tennis before, we recommend you contact Mike Dowd, Tennis Director, for guidance and options to consider.
Junior players must have turned 7 by January 1st, 2025. All juniors wishing to participate must complete the online tennis registration.
How to register:
We are continuing to use YourCourts this summer only for the Junior Tennis Team.
New Members: New members without an existing YourCourts account need to create an account via the following link (please DO NOT go to yourcourts homepage to create your account). Once the account is created and you are logged in, you should see a link on the homepage to register. https://www.yourcourts.com/security/register/67541
Existing Members: Your login from last year is still active. If you forgot your password, you can use the ‘Forgot Password’ feature on the login page.
You must register online. Do not submit paper registrations. You must register by June 4 to be guaranteed a t-shirt.
Junior Tennis Team Fees and Commitments:
$100 each child; payment at time of registration via PayPal (paper check can be left at the tennis hut with Mike Dowd if you prefer)
As part of the Junior Tennis team, your child will receive a T-shirt to wear in team matches. The tennis team also provides several fun social events, including a pizza party, an ice cream party and an end of the season catered awards dinner. We ask parents to assist with at least one of the special events. After registering for the team, one of the captains will contact you with more information regarding volunteering for one of the special events.
Practices will start on Monday, June 9. Last practice is Monday, July 21. Junior Tennis Team practices Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
On June 9, 11, and 13 practice times will be: M,W,F – 4:30-5:30 pm – 7.5 -12 year olds M,W,F – 5:30-6:30 pm – 13 and up
Beginning on June 16, practice times will be: M,W,F – 2:30-3:30 pm – 7.5 -10 year olds M,W,F – 3:30-4:30 pm – 11-12 year olds M,W,F – 4:30-5:30 pm – 13-17 year olds M,W,F – 5:30-6:30 pm – Select – To be considered, players must be advanced, tournament players, or on their high school team. See Mike for details.
Junior Team Pizza Party – Wednesday June 25 from 4:30-6:30 pm. Practice for everyone is from 4:30-5:30 pm. Pizza will be served from 5:30-6:30 pm.
Junior Ice Cream Social – Wednesday, July 9 from 4:30-6:30 pm. Practice for everyone is from 4:30-5:30 pm. Ice cream will be served from 5:30-6:30 pm.
Junior Club Tournament – Friday, July 11 – Saturday, July 12.
Junior Team Awards Dinner – Monday, July 21 starting at 5:00 pm.
