Applications for the following positions are all currently available. Previous employees must re-apply each year. We encourage you to apply early as we have limited slots to fill for each position.
Assist tennis staff as needed including but not limited to: keep tennis courts clean of debris including emptying garbage cans and/or leaf blowing, keep water jugs filled, clean restrooms, patrol tennis area for ball searches, answer phone professionally, and maintain court signup sheets. These duties are required to be completed on each shift. Will be required to exhibit the ability to fill, lift unassisted, and carry full water jugs to all seven courts in a timely fashion before being considered for this position. Court Managers will be required to carry out the responsibilities listed above on their own initiative after their initial training. There are a limited number of these positions available. Not all who apply will be hired. Children under 16 MUST get a Virginia Work Permit – information will be provided at time of hire. Applicants that are 18 years old and older will be required to complete a background check. Teaching Assistants require strong tennis skills.
Tennis Application
Applicants will be expected to greet our members, check them in using or member ID system, record guests/guest payments, update member photos and information and answer the desk phone. The ideal candidates will be available from Memorial Day THROUGH Labor Day. Preference will be given to members and those that have previous experience at the Front Desk. We will be offering this position to 3-4 people that can ideally work approximately 20 hours per week. We will also be hiring a few people as substitutes to work during vacation times or when employees cannot work their scheduled hours. Not all who apply will be hired. Children under 16 MUST get a Virginia Work Permit – information will be provided at time of hire. Applicants that are 18 years old and older will be required to complete a background check. The Snack Bar Attendant is responsible for preforming a variety of duties within a snack bar establishment which may include completing customer transactions, cleaning the food or stock areas, assisting in the kitchen area, and maintaining inventory; performing all other responsibilities as directed by the manager on duty. All applicants must be 15 years old or older and willing/able to work a minimum of 15 hrs per week including weekends. Priority will be given to Cardinal Hill members. We especially need some 10/11 grade students who can work in August. There are a VERY limited number of these positions available. Not all who apply will be hired.
